About HGAL

The Hoop Group Academic League (HGAL) was introduced in 2025 with the goal of providing college recruitment opportunities for high academic basketball prospects. Each participating team is required to have 5 players with a minimum GPA of 3.5. Each team is required to play in 5 events with a league championship at the end of July in Pittsburgh, PA. 

In year 1 over 100 student-athletes have accepted offers to play at the college level!
